These plant oils are used for premenstrual syndrome and associated breast pain & arthritis. EPO has also been prescribed for diabetic peripheral neuropathy, hyperlipoidaemia, chronic fatigue syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, schizo¬phrenia, menopausal hot flushes, and many other ailments.
On the other hand, EFA can only be obtained from one's diet. This also means that in order to ensure a good number of protaglandins in the body, eczema patients should make sure they eat foods rich in essential fatty acids all the time. The most common symptoms of infantile seborrhoeic eczema include dry, hot and itchy skin. When this becomes severe the skin can actually break, grow raw and begin to bleed. While infantile seborrhoeic eczema does not look pleasant, it is useful to know that at least it is not contagious.

How soon does Evening Primrose Oil start to improve PMS symptoms?
I thought that i was just 'blue' once every so often, this causes me to stuff my face with food! I hate feeling like this. I have noticed that its cyclical on a monthly basis. My GP said its definetely PMS and to try Evening Primrose Oil.
Has anyone had any success, do you think it works? And how long did it take to work? What dosage are you taking? The tablets I have are 1000mg each.

I take this every day.I love it and won't go without it.Personally,I can't say enough about it.My experience has been that I don't have the mood swings or blues;it levels all of that out.It's made quite a difference.I have the 1000 mg tabs;I take 1 of them three times a day.That's the recommended dosage on the bottle.I think you need to go thru one monthly cycle of it so you can feel the difference it may make for you.I have read it's used by doctors in Europe for PMS-related problems.Of course,keep in touch with your doctor,what dosage did he or she recommend? Oh-I don't think it will take a month for you to feel better,you may even notice the difference in a week or so.Good Luck.
